The Wedding Videographer's Guide to Journey Maps

Every couple has a geography: the two hometowns, the city where they met, the venue where it all lands. A journey map turns that geography into the opening scene of a wedding film. Clients cry at it every time.

Two routes, one destination

1. In Route Builder, build each partner's path as its own leg: hometown, the city where they met, the proposal spot.
2. Let both paths converge on the venue as the final stop, so the map literally brings them together.

Ease everything (this is not a chase scene)

Default map moves feel mechanical, and mechanical is fatal in a wedding edit. Open the Motion tab and apply Motion Curves. The Gentle Glide preset makes every camera drift and route reveal feel like it belongs under a string quartet. Slow is romantic, so give each leg room to breathe.

Deliver it as a keepsake

Export the journey map twice: once as the film's opening sequence, and once as a standalone clip the couple can post. The second render costs you nothing and becomes your best referral ad.
